Dr. Shefta Tasneem Chandel (S.T. Chandel)w/o Dr. B.B. Mansuri born at Allahabad (U.P.) did her  BSc.(Hons) from Women's College and M.Sc(Ag),M.Phil  and Ph.d (Ag. Nematology) from Aligarh Muslim University,Aligarh.Dr. Chandel  completed her research work at Indian Agriculture  Research Institute ,Pusa, New Delhi and worked there as Senior Research Fellow. Title of her  Ph.d thesis thesis is "Bionomics   and Control of Root-Knot Nematodes in Wheat -Rice Cropping System".she attended04 training  programme ,02 workshop and  participated in the summer school on " Advances in Entomopathogenic Nematodes,Microbes and Bioagents for Eco-safe Management " organized  by the Department of Nematology, Maharana Pratap University of agriculture and Technology, Udaipur.

Dr. Chandel has published 09 International papers , 07 National papers and three book -chapers.She attended 14 National/International conferences and presented research paperes.

Dr. S.T.Chandel  successfully completed   Women Scientist Project sponsored  by  Department of Science and Technology(Ministry of Science and Technology), New Delhi   on " Integrated Management  of  Root-Knot  Nematodes on  Vegetable Crops."

She is member of Bioved Research  Society,Society of Plant Protection sciences etc.

Dr.Chandel participated in State and Interversity games.  She was interversity  Basket Ball Team Captain at Aligarh Muslim University. She  obtained B and C certificate in N.C.C. and attended many  N.C.C. camp.Dr. Chandel achieved  merit Award from Bioved Research Society  and Bharat jyoti  Award  from India International friendship Society, New Delhi
